Keller Williams: Laugh
What a unique musical experience. My friend T turned me on to him. If you get an opportunity to see him, go. I can't describe it, but it's cool.
Ben Folds: Ben Folds Live
He's simple, cool, unironic. I saw him the week after 9/11 and it was just what I needed at the time. Also my first "date" with my husband.
Sarah McLachlan: Solace
I so admire her talent. I went to all the Lilith Fair shows and saw some really great women because of her.
Teitur: Poetry and Aeroplanes
He opened for another artist I had come to see. He's young, Irish, and a really talented singer/songwriter.
Allman Brothers: Eat a Peach
I saw them at an outdoor pavillion in Charlotte, NC in the pouring rain. It was worth getting wet. They jammed for over 2 1/2 hours without a break.
Indigo Girls: Indigo Girls
I used to live in Atlanta and I've been lucky enough to be able to see them perform a lot, sometimes in really small venues. They always play for their fans.
Ben Taylor: Famous Among the Barns
He's the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon. Music in in his genes. He's got a great sound and I can't wait for his next album
Live: The Distance to Here
I know their new stuff is not as good, but in their heyday, these guys were awesome. I've seen them several times and the best thing about a Live show is the crowd. Everyone is kind.
Steve Miller Band: Fly like an eagle
Another Music Midtown show from 2004. These guys may be old, but they don't phone it in.
The White Stripes: Get Behind Me Satan
I have never been a big fan, but seeing them live at Music Midtown 2005 in Atlanta gave me a whole new appreciation. Two people on stage and they OWN it. Meg white is hot and she can play the drums.
